Join the Adams Library for Friday movie nights featuring horror films by Indigenous writer-directors during November.
On Friday, November 3, 2023, the Library will show Blood Quantum (2019), a zombie story set in Mi'kmaq territories, and on Friday, November 17, 2023, it will show Slash/Back (2022), an alien invasion story starring four young women set in an Inuit village.
Each screening is open to the RIC community and will include a short pre-talk for context. Attend one or both screenings. The program’s organizers, Jeremy Hixson and Amy Barlow, will facilitate an informal conversation following both films. Pizza and drinks provided.
This program is co-sponsored by the DDI Committee and the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
